About Dr Anil Saleem

For over 22 years, Dr. Anil Saleem has dedicated his life to healing hearts — not just with advanced procedures, but with listening, compassion, and trust.

Today, as the Head of Department and Senior Consultant at Meitra Hospital’s Center of Excellence for Heart & Vascular Care, he leads one of Kerala’s most respected cardiology teams — known for both precision and humanity.

But Dr. Anil’s story began much earlier — in the lecture halls of Calicut Medical College, where his passion for cardiology first took shape. After earning his MD from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, and DM Cardiology from Mumbai University, he travelled across the world to train with the best.

In Milan, he learned the art of interventional cardiology under Dr. Antonio Colombo, a global pioneer. Later, in Rouen, France, he trained under Professor Alain Cribier, the Father of TAVI (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation) — bringing that expertise back home to Kerala, where patients could benefit from the most advanced treatments available anywhere in the world.

Today, Dr. Anil is a Fellow of three of the world’s most prestigious cardiology bodies —the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), and the European Society of Cardiology (FESC).

Yet what truly defines him isn’t just his training or titles — it’s his philosophy.
